Cutting-edge collaboration between France and Singapore
CINTRA is a
French-Singaporean international joint laboratory between three major
partners : the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) -
Institute for Engineering and systems Science; Nanyang Technological
University (NTU) and Thales - a French electronics giant and global
leader in aerospace, defence, security and transportation industries.
Dedication to excellence
CINTRA is located at NTU’s Research Techno Plaza and brings together people from NTU, CNRS
CINTRA welcomes senior researchers, research fellows, PhD
students, and interns with a strong involvement of over 20 host NTU
professors. Currently, CINTRA has more than 60 members.
CINTRA aims to harness the latest in science and technology
to develop innovation in nanotechnologies for nanoelectronics and
nanophotonics. The scientific policy is based on 3 technological axes (CarTech, NwTech, PMN)
mainly dedicated to 3 application areas (nanopackaging, multifunctional
materials & devices, microwave photonics & sensing).
> To merge industrial and academic research expertise to
study innovative solutions for critical photonics and electronics
> To focus research on nanoscale photonics, electronic devices and their architectures.
> To develop innovative technologies for integrating electronics and photonics on a chip.
